Art Stuff ("we", "us", "our") is operated by Andrew Ginn. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it.

What We Collect

Account information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password. Your password is hashed and stored securely via Supabase (our database provider). We never see or store your password in plain text.

Your collections and activity: When you use Art Stuff, we store your saved paintings, collections/playlists, journal entries, and tags. This data is tied to your account so you can access it across devices.

We do not collect:

• Location data
• Contacts or address book information
• Photos, camera, or microphone access
• Device identifiers for advertising

How We Use Your Data

Your data is used solely to provide the Art Stuff service:

• Your email is used for authentication and password resets
• Your collections and activity data power your personal art experience
• Public collections you share are accessible via their share link

We may collect anonymous usage analytics (such as which features are used and general app performance) to improve Art Stuff. This data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify you.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties. We do not serve ads. We do not use your data for marketing.

Third-Party Services

Supabase: We use Supabase to store your account and collection data. Supabase processes data in accordance with their privacy policy.

Museum APIs: When you browse art, we fetch painting data from public museum APIs (Art Institute of Chicago, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Rijksmuseum, and others). These are public endpoints; no personal data is sent to them.

Google Fonts: We load fonts from Google Fonts, which may log standard web request data. See Google's privacy policy.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Supabase's cloud infrastructure. We use HTTPS for all connections. Authentication tokens are stored locally on your device.

Data Retention and Deletion

We keep your data for as long as you have an account. If you want your account and all associated data deleted, email me@andrewginn.fun and we'll take care of it.

Children's Privacy

Art Stuff is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll note the new date at the top of this page.
